Hello, I’m Sacha, the Matamata-based photographer behind Flourish and Grow Photography.
I photograph weddings, elopements, engagement sessions and vow renewals at Hobbiton, and having photographed there before, I truly know how magical this venue is. Hobbiton is such an exciting and special place to photograph.
I’ll keep things relaxed, give you direction when you need it, and make sure you’re not spending your whole day wondering what you’re supposed to do in front of the camera.

I’m a Hobbiton preferred photographer. I’m on Hobbiton’s preferred vendor list, so I know the venue well and absolutely love the magic it offers my couples.
I’m local. I’m based in Matamata, just 12 minutes from Hobbiton. So I’m close by, and I’m not travelling hours to get to you. You never know what can happen with traffic.
You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my job. I’ll guide you through it, keep things relaxed and fun, and make sure you look natural rather than like you’re trying to figure out what to do with your hands.
I’m good at making people feel at ease. Being photographed can feel a bit awkward, especially at first, so I’m there to make it easy. I’ll chat with you, have fun, and i’ll feel like a new friend by the end of the day.

Hobbiton offers so many beautiful places to photograph, with the rural backdrop, from colourful gardens to the iconic Hobbit Holes. Sunset weddings are particularly special, with the soft evening light and the opportunity to see Hobbiton come to life as the Hobbit Holes are illuminated after dark.
Whatever you have planned for your day in the Shire, it’s going to be magical.

It’s such a unique place to pop the question. There is something extra special about beginning the next chapter of life in The Shire. Engagement sessions can be part of a private or regular tour, and are a lovely way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day.

For weddings, I recommend booking at least a year in advance where possible, especially for popular dates. Engagement sessions are a little more flexible, as they often take place on weekdays, but booking ahead is still a good idea. My advice? Reach out and enquire. Let’s see what we can make work.
