FAQs

What is my editing style?

Natural, I love people interacting as natural as possible. I love to be on the outside, documenting that raw emotion whenever possible. Candid shooting allows you to be in the moment and enjoying your day to the maximum.

I do guide and style in certain situations of course, like your couple photos. I’m always looking for the best light to guide you into and, suggesting posing and movement based on you guys as a couple.

Can we meet before we book you?

Absolutely—I’d love to! We could meet for a coffee, or even better, take a stroll around your venue. It’s a great way to get to know you both, hear all about your plans, and start building a connection.

A couple of my wedding packages include a complimentary engagement shoot (or it can be booked separately) for this very reason. It’s such a great way for us to get to know each other better, help you feel relaxed in front of the camera, and build a natural rapport before your big day.

How long is my engagement shoot?

I allow an hour for the session so we can have a wee chat before we begin, but the actual photo time is usually around 45 minutes.

How many photos will I receive from my wedding?

I always go for quality over quantity so numbers vary. However, if I had to put an average on it, I would say 85 photos per hour of shooting.

Will you post our photos on social media?

I would love nothing more than to share your beautiful photos on social media. I will send you a online gallery with the photos I would like to use, then you can let me know if you agree to them being on social. If not that is absolutely fine. It’s your decision.


How far are you willing to travel?

I travel far and wide and, I’m happy to fly too. New Zealand and beyond!

Do we need a second photographer?

This is definitely a personal preference. I will say, that I am very confident that I alone can photograph your wedding day, with beautiful coverage. A second photographer is fantastic for getting the groomsmen getting ready, more in-between moments and guest photos. I would be more inclined to say yes, if you were having a particularly large wedding or if you definitely wanted the groomsmen coverage.

Can we print our photos?

Yes! You'll receive print-ready, high-resolution images as well as web-sized files—perfect for sharing on social media.

I also offer a stunning, hand-crafted canvas book and Fine Art prints on beautiful textured cotton rag paper. Please enquire for more details.

Trust me—you’ll find yourself revisiting your gallery so much more often when your images are printed and enjoyed in real life.
